Just a simple post to look back…. for me and for our customers the integration of 3Par storage into HP was generating a lot of buzz. People are interested in ‘something new’ and are informing about it.
I see many new developments in the land of storage and backup, mainly all kinds of integration features. Companies are growing more and more to the realisation that the simplicity of cloud-computing (PAAS, IAAS etc.) can take a lot of work out of their hands. Just let the specialists do their work on infrastructure and applications, so that the company can do their core business.

A prediction: simplification is key in the near future. There’s less and less interest for complicated infrastructures and software stacks. Solutions which are simple on the outside will do the trick :).
